Contracted to Date: $7.5 Million

The District’s Master Facility Plan identified the opportunity to upgrade all district lighting to LED lighting.  LED lighting has been shown to improve student focus and provide a higher quality of light more similar to natural daylight.  The initiative also includes installing, where possible dimmable lighting, allowing teachers to adjust lighting in classrooms as needed. 

LED lighting produces significant energy savings and has lower maintenance than traditional fluorescent lighting.  The District has also received various incentives to assist in supporting the replacement.
