In spring 2023, District 204 completed a comprehensive facilities assessment. Wight & Company, a top-ranked Chicago-based architecture, engineering, and design-build firm, was contracted to support the process. Meetings within each of the three high school feeders were held to engage with stakeholder groups to determine essential facilities needs. Consideration was given to building structure, instructional needs, energy management, and safety/security.
A Facilities Assessment and Master Plan presentationwas given to the board of education at its November 20, 2023 meeting and adopted at its December 18, 2023 meeting. The board of education adopted the plan.
At its August 5, 2024 meeting, the Board of Education voted in favor of placing a funding referendum on the November 2024 ballot.
