Dear Volunteer,
Welcome to the Graham Elementary School Library Media Center. We encourage all parents, grandparents, and community members to participate in the education of our students by sharing their time and talents. Your offer to volunteer in the LMC will help us to use our facility to the fullest extent. Your presence in the LMC sends a message to the students that you care about their education.
We will provide volunteer training and a volunteer handbook. The information is important and may answer many questions you have about volunteering.
Thanks so much for caring and sharing. We couldn’t do it without you!
Volunteer Opportunties
Library Volunteer: Assist students with book selection, student check out, check in, inspect, and clean books returned, shelve books, and support with ongoing projects.
Opportunties Monday-Friday. We run three 2-hour volunteer shifts daily. We like our volunteers to commit to once a week so that students and staff get to know the volunteer.
Makerspace Volunteer: Assist students with Makerspace challenges and exploration. Ask student questions to help expand thinking, explore and play with students.
Opportunties: Fridays We run three 2-Hour shifts. We ask that volunteers commit to one Friday a month so students may get to know the volunteers.
Book Repair: Learn how to make minor repairs on library books so that they may last longer in the LMC.
Opportunties: Set your own schedule. We are flexiable. We ask that volunteers commit to several training sessions and afterwards at least once a month to repair books.
