Dear Graham Kindergarten through Fifth Grade Parents:
Welcome to an exciting year of Musical Adventures! All Kindergarten through Fifth grade students will be having music two times a week for a total of 50 minutes each week. I look forward to sharing many exciting adventures in music through singing, instrument performance, movement, and music theory with your student.
Each year the 2nd grade students present a Musical performance. Keep your eyes open for further details concerning these performances.
Third through fifth grade students will be using recorders in music class. The recorders are a wonderful tool to strengthen musicianship abilities. A letter will go out explaining this each year.
The Graham Chorus is an ensemble available to all 4th and 5th grade students. It is a wonderful chance to explore Choral Music. Information will be sent to parents through the student members.
During the school year if there is ever a problem or question you have regarding the music program here at Graham Elementary School, please feel free to contact me at: (630) 428-6928 or kathy_muno@ipsd.org. I look forward to seeing all of you and await the chance to explore music with your student. Best wishes for a great school year!!!!
Musically yours,
Mrs. Muno
Music Instructor/Chorus Director
