• Absences and Late Arrivals:

  • Please call the Attendance Line at 630-226-4400 and Press 3 to call in your child's late arrival, absence or early dismissal. 
  • The attendance line is available to receive messages 24 hours a day.

Builta Student Attendance Expectations

Before School Arrivals and Supervision

Please remember that there is no adult supervision from Builta staff in the morning before the first bell rings at 8:50 am and the playground is not available for student use before the start of the school day. Students are allowed on the blacktop or sidewalk area while waiting for the doors to open for the start of the school day.

Because supervision does not begin before 8:45 am, we do ask that parents not have walkers and bike riders arrive at school before 8:45 am without being overseen by a parent or guardian.

Student Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:  9:05-3:35

The first bell rings at 8:50 a.m. Dismissal is at 3:35 p.m.

**Please remember that students need to be in the classroom by 9:05 am to be counted as arriving at school on time.

Wednesday:  9:15-3:35

The day begins 10 minutes later.  The first bell rings at 9:00 a.m. Dismissal is at 3:35 p.m.

Main Office Hours:

The main office is staffed from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
