    School History

Metea Valley High School, located in Aurora, Illinois, is part of the Indian Prairie School District 204. It opened its doors in 2009 as a result of the district's effort to respond to growth in the existing high schools, Waubonsie Valley and Neuqua Valley. The school is situated on a 60-acre campus and features a range of modern facilities designed to support a comprehensive educational experience. As of 2024, they were ranked #28 of all Illinois high schools according to the U.S. News and World Report.

Since its opening, Metea Valley has built a reputation for academic excellence and strong extracurricular programs. The school serves students in grades 9 through 12 and has developed a diverse curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, a variety of electives, and numerous sports and clubs. IN 2016, Metea was recognized as a GRAMMY Signature Gold School.

Metea Valley's development reflects the growth and evolving needs of the community, and it continues to be a central part of the educational landscape in the Aurora area.
